All in One App Toolkit – 50 Apps for 99¢
I was searching for a decent Alarm Clock App, and was even approached by the developer of ÜberClock to download/review their App (which eventually I will get around to doing), but first I came across this App of Apps, and was instantly intriqued. How good could their Alarm Clock be if it was bundled together with another 45+ Apps and only cost 99¢ for the Lot.
As it turns out – just great actually. And having the other Apps just sitting there on my phone has been super convenient. I actually used the Level, and Ruler within the first day of having downloaded the App. For a complete list of all the Apps that Toolkit boasts of having, you’ll have to read it on This Site because I am simply not listing off all of them here.
Most of these are indeed, full Apps, such as the Alarm, Camera Zoom Pro, PDF Reader, Unit Conversion, etc. However some of them are simply links to within-App browser for the sites they claim to be. Such as the Google Series (Reader, Docs, Calendar, Gmail) or Yahoo!, Twitter & Facebook. I have no idea why these are included in this App, as each of those features are already available via Safari.
A couple of the Apps I’ve found to be Amazing – Big Notes for example with its ability to add image, change font sizes and even email your notes is a fantastic inclusion. Along with the Alarm Clock (which has some great settings for snooze, or even Call On Alarm. How clever!). I was also impressed with the Cocktails Recipes App which is entirely too detailed for it’s own good. These few Apps alone I would pay 99 cents each for – easily.
Some of the Apps I wish I could just remove (and keep in mind that you absolutely can ‘hide’ any Apps you seriously don’t use from the menu so it’s basically the same thing). Such as the Party Lighter App, or the Digital Scale (which I’m certain doesn’t work), or the crummy games that are included… big stinkers if you ask me. But maybe someone else will like them.
The fact that they’re all bundled together really gives this App the ‘Something for Everyone’. To be perfectly honest and to the point – most Free or even 99¢ Apps seriously lack the quality that I usually expect in a decent App, but here, the quality is “just ok” but they’ve overcompensated with quantity – and put together a decent package of useful mini-Apps.
I really suggest that everyone at least check out the site and read the entire list of what you’re getting with your 99¢ I’m pretty sure that will convince you to at least try it out. Honestly, you never know when you’ll be in a situation where you need a Random Number and luckily you’ll be able to say you Have an App For That.
